Overview Edit

Bekris Gallery's mission is to expand the audience for African contemporary art. To that end the Gallery presents work by emerging, mid-career and internationally acclaimed African artists, both those living in Africa and those who are a part of the vast African diaspora. The mediums we present include paintings, sculpture, works on paper and photography. The Gallery's rigorous exhibition program presents eight shows per year including individual, two artist and group exhibitions.

Proceeds from each Bekris Gallery exhibition are contributed to an organization which serves the goals of food security and human development in one of the many countries called home by artists whose work Bekris Gallery presents.[1]
